Locality:McDowells' Quarry, Upper Montclair, Essex County, New Jersey
Description:Lustrous di-pyramidal dark-smoky quartz crystals to 15 mm across on basalt coated with colorless rhombohedral translucent calcite crystals to 3 mm. One area has many bladed gray-metallic hematite crystals to 0.5 mm intergrown with the calcite crystals. Ex. Joe Cilen (1916-1997) #9444
